"A friend of mine joined back work after a long break. She says it bleeds her heart to leave her kid in day care. The very first day he cried for his mother to not leave him and she found him on the stairs in the evening waiting for her. A couple of days later, he stopped crying. And one fine day he jumped out of car and rushed to day care without looking back at her."

The rule of time and life is thus. Disasters happen, epidemics, holocaust, wars. People born, dies. Lovers meet, depart. The love never dies, the grief never goes, we might neither forget nor forgive or may be find peace with it. Good, bad whatever, what doesn't change is we get used to it. 

One fine day, or may be gradually, we simply give up and stop waiting.

".. why can't I conquer love?"

Amidst of all the reasons, I believe its the alarming rate of decrease in compassion which will lead to the end of human race.

Now I've traveled across the ocean 

with the same shoes just longer hair

still carry that picture in my wallet

from the photo booth yeah it's still there
